Excuse me while I sob...

Just the other night I got a text from one of my bff's saying her little boy took two steps. I couldn't help myself but to go back and think about when my first born took his first steps, it was emotional and at the time, a huge milestone. Three years have passed since that milestone and we've arrived to his first day of pre-k. I need someone to pinch me to WAKE UP...Goodness, is time not passing by faster as the years go by?! I believe it's perfectly healthy for mothers to sit down, glance over pictures and video footage, and wonder; Where has the time gone. It causes you to stand up, look your baby in the eyes and appreciate "today." Realizing today, as Tyler and I send our little boy off to school, we have 14 more years of him living under our roof. 14 more years to tell him about our Savior, Jesus. 14 more years of learning from his daddy to be a gentleman. 14 more years of him witnessing our testimony to the Lord.
I'm grateful to the Lord to have had these past 4 years with this charming little boy and we'll face the future, praying for his sweet little soul's light to shine bright into his tiny corner of the earth!

A Curl That Bounces

These day's, I'm watching my baby girl grow into a big girl. I'm treasuring this time where I can sit and notice the curl in the back of her hair that bounces as she bee-bops around the house.
